PLAYTAS pty ltd and Playground Installers of Tasmania are passionate about play environments and in the safety of the children that play in them.

The Australian Playground Safety Standards do not prevent stimulating play, but instead have processes and requirements in place that allow children to play where elements that may be harmful to them are not present. Playtas takes pride in understanding the Playground Safety Standards, and has undertaken training with ROSPA, the Royal Society for The Prevention of Accidents to a level 2 Operational Inspections level. Playtas is also a member of the APSI, the Australian Playground Safety Institute.

PLAYTAS is the Tasmanian distributor for MEGATOY Play Systems, an Australian manufacturer of commercial playground and outdoor gym equipment. All equipment supplied by Megatoy has undertaken independent engineering certification for compliance to the Australian Playground Safety Standards.

The Australian Standards are not for private interpretation, nor are they dismissible as "only" a standard, but are the only documents that are used in the court of law if any issue arises from a playground incident.

If your playground supplier will not or cannot supply you with documentation to ensure their products have been tested in accordance with the Australian Safety Standards, by a "THIRD PARTY" that is independent to them, do not choose them as your supplier.
